6 day Uganda gorilla wildlife safari
This Tour will take you through the Fortportal for great scenic viewing, Kibale Forest national park for Chimpanzee tracking,Queen Elizabeth national park for game viewing and Bwindi impenetrable national park for the most memorable gorilla safari.
DAY 1: TRANSFER FROM KAMPALA TO FORTPORTAL.
Transfer to Fort portal through Mityana, Mubende and Kyenjojo. As you approach Forportal Town, look out for beautiful tea plantations and great scenic views of the ranges of mountain Rwenzori. On arrival in Fortportal you will have Lunch and then go to Nyakasura for the crater lakes tour
You will be briefed by a guide on arrival who will take you through a local tradition Toro Folklore about King Bakuku of Toro who chopped off breasts of his daughter NyinaMwiru and had them thrown in the caves following a prophesy that his daughter would one day get married have a son, Ndahura who will kill the king and take over the throne. According to the Folklore the prophesy came to pass. The guide will take you into the jungle in the caves to discover what became of the breasts that were thrown in the caves.
You will also learn about the scientific explanation of the Stalactites made up of calcium carbonate.
After a tour of the caves you will proceed for a scenic tour of the crater lakes i.e. Lake Saaka, Lake Wabikere and lakeKigere. Depending on your Fitness level you will hike to the top of the hills to get better views of the lakes.
After a day of adventure you will transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: TRACK CHIMPANZEES IN KIBALE FOREST AND TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Today morning you will go for Chimpanzee trekking where you will get an insight into the lives of these animals that are man’s closed relative.
After tracking you will have Lunch and then transferto Queen Elizabeth national where you will have the next day’s adventure into the wild. On arrival at your hotel you will check in and have Lunch before heading out for an afternoon Launch cruise on the Kazinga channel.

DAY 3: EARLY MORNING GAME DRIVE ALONG THE KASENYI AND QUEEN MILES AND AFTERNOON CHIMP TREKKING IN THE KYAMBURA GORGE.
Today morning you will go for an early morninggame drive along the Kasenyi and queen miles insearch for more game.
The boat cruise along the Kazinga channel is the highlight of the queen Elizabeth national park safari. Here you will have the opportunity to view great numbers of wildlife e.g. elephants monitor lizards, crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes and large numbers of birds e.g. eagles, kingfishers sparrow, the doves, weaver birds, eaglet and sun birds converging at the channel waters to enjoy a sip of the natural waters. You will also have a chance to reach the Uganda Congo border while on your cruise. You will then be driven back to your lodge for rest.
Dinner and overnight:
DAY 4: GAME DRIVE IN ISHASHA QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK THEN DRIVE TO BWINDI.
After breakfast, Transfer to Bwindi through the Ishasha sector for an enroute game drive searching for the tree climbing lions alongside buffaloes, elephants lions, hyenas, water bucks, bush bucks, Uganda Kobs plus many bird species e.g. marabou stock, ibis, vultures. After, transfer to Bwindi arriving in the evening.

DAY 5: GORILLA TRACKING IN BWINDI.
DAY 6: RETURN TO KAMPALA
Rise up to the beautiful African sunrise and prepare for your return journey to Kampala. Lunch en route will be at Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara where you can have an optional visit to the cultural museum that has a variety of antiquities and books about cultures of the west. After lunch proceed on your journey to Kampala.
Arrive in Kampala or Entebbe late in the evening which marks the end of this Uganda gorilla wildlife safari trip.
