5- DAY UGANDA GORILLA, WILDLIFE SAFARI
This Uganda gorilla wildlife safari will take you through Queen Elizabeth national park for the best game viewing, Bwindi Impenetrable national park for the most memorable gorilla tracking experience and Lake Bunyonyi for scenic viewing and relaxing
DAY 1: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH WILDLIFE NATIONAL PARK FOR AN AFTERNOON BOAT TRIP ON THE KAZINGA CHANNEL
After an early morning breakfast enjoy a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National park fronted by the green vegetation in country side of tea plantations and ranges of mountain Rwenzori when going through Fort portal and Kasese, Lunch Enroute
Once in Queen Elizabeth National Park you will head out for the 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga channel into Lake Edward. This cruise offers you an opportunity to see at close range the highest concentration of water submerged Hippos, surrounded by over 550 species of migrant and resident birds plus crocodiles drinking and resting at water edges. The cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing
Dinner and Overnight:
DAY 2: DRIVE THROUGH ISHASHA SECTOR AND TRANSFER TO BWINDI
Transfer to Bwindi through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will have a Game drive in search of the famous tree-climbing lions alongside other wildlife like buffalo, elephants and bird species including eagles, kingfisher sparrows, bulbul, doves, weaver-birds, eaglets and sun birds. This is a spectacle like no other-Lions on a tree.
Thereafter, continue with your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park arriving in the evening.

DAY 3: GORILLA TRACKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
After your breakfast with your packed lunch, your guide shall drive you the tracking point or park headquarters from where the head game ranger will brief you at 8:00 am.
He will lead you, through the gorilla paths in the thick Bwindi Impenetrable rain forest searching for the giant mountain Gorillas. You will have the company of an armed game ranger to scare away any unfriendly wild animals by shooting in the air but also you will have the un armed rangers who will pave for the way leading you to where the gorillas are for that day. Potters who help you carry any luggage such as packed lunch, water and any other items such as cameras are available at only 10-15$. In case one fails to take on the trek of the steep mountains these potters do the pushing as well and when you totally a stretcher shall be called in but at a fee 300-400$.
Once tracked, you shall be given 1 hour to view and interact with these beautiful primates plus taking photographs.
After this trek you will trek back to the starting point and return to your lodge

DAY 4: BOAT TRIP ON LAKE BUNYONYI FOR SCENIC VIEWING
Today, after your breakfast, you will go on a boat ride to explore some of the 25 islands and view beautiful scenery. You will also be able to interact with the Bakiiga people who live in this part of Uganda.
After wards you will retire to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In case you carried a book with you, this is the leg of your safari when you can fish it out for some reading as you enjoy the lake breeze, bird sounds and a lot of fresh air.
Dinner and overnight: Heritage lodge habuharo/Birdnest at Bunyonyi for Luxury, Arcadia cottages for midrange, Byona amagara/Crater bay cottages
DAY 5: RETURN TO KAMPALA
With memories of a great African safari you will embark on your return journey to Kampala.
En-route you will stop at Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara for a visit of the cultural museum to get an insight into the cultural lives of people of Ankole. There are also practical demonstrations of the Ankole way of life inside the museum that provide a rich cultural experience. After lunch, continue your journey to Kampala where this special Uganda gorilla safari will end.
