4 DAYS QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Queen Elizabeth national park is Uganda’s most scenic and diverse park. It is also the second biggest national park occupying close to 1,978 square km. Queen Elizabeth national park is a world biosphere reserve with a RAMSAR wetland site.

4 DAYS  ITINERARY

DAY 1: KAMPALA- KASESE VIA MBARARA (STOPOVER AT THE EQUATOR CROSSING AND IGONGO CULTURAL CENTER) Our guide will pick you up from your place of residence, and drive you to Mbarara (283 Km from Kampala) westwards via Masaka. Make the first stop over at Equator crossing for snacks and photography. Lunch break will be made at Igongo Cultural center where you will be treated to a variety of locally made Ugandan food. OPTIONAL You will have a Museum tour where you will get to learn more about the Ankole culture and different regions in Uganda. After lunch, drive to Ihamba for relaxation and dinner.

DAY 2: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK ( GAME DRIVES,BOAT CRUISES ON KAZINGA CHANNEL AND KAMENGO CRATER LAKE FOR SIGHT SEEING)

Begin your day with a cup of coffee and then go for an early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile expect to see elephants, buffaloes, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. After the game drive you will proceed to the Mweya penisular for Lunch and later on an afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel.

After lunch, a two hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel is  a worthwhile  opportunity to see Hippos, Buffalo, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs etc. This trip also gives visitors a chance to see spectacular birds.

From the launch cruise of the Kazinga Channel you will proceed for sight seeing of the Kamengo Crater lake.

With great memories of the days activities you will proceed to Ihamba lakeside safari lodge for relaxation and dinner.

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO ISASHA FOR A GAME DRIVE TO SEE THE FAMOUS TREE CLIMBING LIONS.

After an early morning break fast this morning you will transfer to Isasha to see the tree climbing Lions,one of the major attractions in Queen Elizabeth National park. Isasha sector is found in the southern  part of  Queen Elizabeth National Park. . The Lions are normally seen lazily lying up within the branches of the huge fig trees.Today you will have a second game drive in these beautiful plains.

Lions in Isasha have adopted to climbing trees to cool off temperatures. After the game drive you will have Lunch and later return to Ihamba lakeside safari lodge.

DAY 4: RETURN TO KAMPALA VIA FORT PORTAL.

With the previous day’s memories of a great African safari enjoy your breakfast ready for guided tour for your return journey to Kampala. This time you will use Kasese Fort portal route and enjoy the great scenery of the ranges of Mountain Rwenzori. You will stop in Fort portal and then proceed to Kampala.
