3 DAYS QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK WITH CHIMPANZEE TRACKING

Queen Elizabeth national park is Uganda’s most scenic and diverse park. It is also the second biggest national park occupying close to 1,978 square km. Queen Elizabeth national park is a world biosphere reserve with a RAMSAR wetland site.

3 DAYS  ITINNERY

DAY 1: KAMPALA- KASESE VIA MBARARA (STOPOVER AT THE EQUATOR CROSSING AND IGONGO CULTURAL CENTER) Our guide will pick you up from your place of residence, and drive you to Mbarara (283 Km from Kampala) westwards via Masaka. Make the first stop over at Equator crossing for snacks and photography. Lunch break will be made at Igongo Cultural center where you will be treated to a variety of locally made Ugandan food. OPTIONAL You will have a Museum tour where you will get to learn more about the Ankole culture and different regions in Uganda. After lunch, drive to Ihamba for relaxation and dinner.

DAY 2: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK (CHIMPANZEE TRACKING IN THE KYAMBURA GORGE AND BOAT CRUISE ON THE KAZINGA CHANNEL)

Begin your day with a cup of coffee and then transfer to Kyamubra Gorge reserve for early morning Chimpanzee tracking.

After lunch, a two hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel is  a worthwhile  opportunity to see Hippos, Buffalo, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs etc. This trip also gives visitors a chance to see spectacular birds.

From the launch cruise of the Kazinga Channel you will return to the lodge.

With great memories of the days activities you will proceed to Ihamba lakeside safari lodge for relaxation and dinner.

DAY 3: RETURN TO KAMPALA VIA FORT PORTAL.

With the previous day’s memories of a great African safari begin your day with a cup of coffee and then go for an early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile expect to see elephants, buffaloes, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. After the game drive you will proceed to the Mweya penisular for Lunch and later on an afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel.

After the early morning Game drive you will return to Kampala. This time you will use Kasese Fort portal route and enjoy the great scenery of the ranges of Mountain Rwenzori. Lunch Enroute
